Get a first look inside the new PokePark Kanto! Here are the highlights.

On February 5, the new Pokémon-themed attraction, "PokePark Kanto" (4015-1 Yano-kuchi, Inagi-shi, Tokyo, inside Yomiuriland), will open its gates. Ahead of the grand opening, the park's interior was unveiled to the media.

Located in the central area of Kayatsuri Town, the "Pokémon Trainers Market" offers a wide variety of merchandise and food. For example, at "Pikachu's Onigiri Shop," you can get takeout items such as four types of onigiri (rice balls) (¥800 each), hearty tonjiru (pork and vegetable miso soup) (¥700), bamboo charcoal karaage (fried chicken) (¥750), and soft drinks (¥400 each).

The onigiri flavors are all based on authentic Japanese recipes: "Mentaiko (Spicy Pollack Roe) & Cream Cheese with Dashi Soy Sauce," "Shiso Miso & Salmon," "Kujo Green Onion & Simmered Beef with Burdock Root," and "Kombu (Kelp) & Tuna Mayonnaise." Each onigiri also comes with a side of bamboo charcoal fried chicken and sweet and savory simmered ginger, making it the perfect meal to fuel up before your adventure.

The "Mentaiko & Cream Cheese" onigiri. The large, hearty piece of bamboo charcoal fried chicken is incredibly satisfying. The tonjiru soup will warm you up.
The "Shiso Miso & Salmon" onigiri. It's generously filled with salmon, not just topped, and the aroma and richness of the shiso miso are a perfect match.

About PokePark Kanto

PokePark Kanto is the first-ever permanent outdoor Pokémon facility, located within the "Yomiuriland" amusement park. This brand-new area spans approximately 2.6 hectares, created through a large-scale renovation of existing facilities and development of previously unused land in the Tama Hills of the Kanto region. It is operated by PokePark Kanto LLC, a joint venture between The Pokémon Company, Yomiuri Land Co., Ltd., and The Yomiuri Shimbun.

The park consists of three main areas: "PokePark Entrance Plaza," "Kayatsuri Town," and "Pokémon Forest." Explore a forest and town where over 600 species of Pokémon live. The park will feature exclusive attractions, shows, parades, merchandise, and food. Guests can become "Pokémon Trainers" and enjoy encounters and adventures with Pokémon.

There are three types of tickets available. These tickets also grant admission to the main "Yomiuriland" park. They will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis or through a lottery system sequentially on the official website.
