- Opening February 5, 2026
On February 5, 2026, the brand-new Pokémon-themed facility, PokéPark Kanto, will officially open its gates within the Yomiuriland amusement park (4015-1 Yano-kuchi, Inagi-shi, Tokyo). Ahead of the grand opening, the media was given a special preview inside the park.
In Kayatsuri Town, a city where Trainers and Pokémon from around the world gather, the "Pika-Vee Bubble Carnival" will be held twice daily. Dressed in special carnival costumes, Pikachu and Eevee, along with a troupe of performers, will march in a large counter-clockwise loop through the town. The parade route takes them past Kayatsuri Mansion, Kayatsuri Gym, Pikachu's Ride Attraction, Primarina's Fountain, Eevee's Merry-Go-Round, and back to Kayatsuri Mansion. Showtimes are scheduled for 1:20 PM and 3:55 PM each day.
The sight of them marching proudly in unison to the cheerful carnival music is a must-see. The parade also features an enchanting display of soap bubbles and a dedicated dance time. Be sure to get into the spirit by wearing character headbands or fan caps to enjoy the celebration to the fullest.
About PokéPark Kanto
PokéPark Kanto is the first-ever permanent outdoor Pokémon facility, located within the Yomiuriland amusement park. It is a brand-new, 2.6-hectare area built on a combination of extensively renovated existing facilities and newly developed land within the park's expansive grounds in the Tama Hills of the Kanto region. The park is operated by PokéPark Kanto LLC, a joint venture between The Pokémon Company, Yomiuriland Co., Ltd., and The Yomiuri Shimbun.
The park consists of three main areas: the PokéPark Entrance Plaza, Kayatsuri Town, and the Pokémon Forest. It brings to life a forest and town where over 600 different Pokémon live, offering exclusive attractions, shows, parades, merchandise, and food. Guests can become "Pokémon Trainers" for the day and enjoy unique encounters and adventures with their favorite Pokémon.
There are three types of tickets available, all of which also grant admission to the main Yomiuriland park. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served or lottery basis, released sequentially on the official website.
