Experience 'Pika Pika Paradise' at PokéPark Kanto: A Thrilling Ride that Feels Like Flying on Pikachu
2026年1月26日 17:09
- Opening on February 5, 2026
The new Pokémon-themed facility, PokéPark Kanto (4015-1 Yanokuchi, Inagi-shi, Tokyo, inside Yomiuriland amusement park), is set to open on February 5. Ahead of its grand opening, the park's interior was unveiled to the media.
In Kayatsuri Town, a city where Trainers and Pokémon from around the world gather, you can enjoy two attractions. One of them is "Pika Pika Paradise," a ride powered by over 30 Electric-type Pokémon. The ride repeatedly rises and falls, creating an experience that feels just like using the move "Fly" with Pikachu.
The featured Electric-type Pokémon include Pikachu, Plusle, Minun, Ampharos, Pachirisu, Dedenne, and Togedemaru, among others. See what other Pokémon you can spot on your ride!
The ride costs 1,200 yen for adults (ages 13 and over) and 800 yen for children (ages 3 to 12). Timed-entry tickets are available for purchase at a wagon in the Pokémon Trainers Market within Kayatsuri Town. Additionally, holders of an "Elite Trainer's Pass" can enjoy one ride via the priority lane on the day of their visit at no extra cost. Please note that children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by a paying guest aged 13 or older.
About PokéPark Kanto
PokéPark Kanto is Pokémon's first permanent outdoor theme park, set to open within the Yomiuriland amusement park. This brand-new, 2.6-hectare area was created by extensively renovating existing facilities and developing a previously unused section of land in the scenic Tama Hills of the Kanto region. The park is operated by PokéPark Kanto LLC, a joint venture of The Pokémon Company, Yomiuriland Co., Ltd., and The Yomiuri Shimbun.
The park is primarily composed of three areas: the PokéPark Entrance Plaza, Kayatsuri Town, and Pokémon Forest. It's a world of forests and towns inhabited by over 600 different Pokémon, offering exclusive attractions, shows, parades, merchandise, and culinary delights. Visitors can become Pokémon Trainers and embark on adventures filled with exciting Pokémon encounters.
Three types of tickets are available, all of which also grant admission to the main Yomiuriland amusement park. Tickets are being released sequentially for purchase on the official website, available on a first-come, first-served or lottery basis.
