Explore Kayatsuri Town: A First Look Inside the Heart of PokePark Kanto
2026年1月26日 16:56
- Opening February 5, 2026
On February 5, the new Pokémon-themed facility, "PokePark Kanto" (4015-1 Yano-kuchi, Inagi-shi, Tokyo (inside Yomiuriland)), will officially open its gates. Ahead of the grand opening, the park's interior was unveiled to the media for the first time.
Beyond the entrance plaza and through a tunnel lies Kayatsuri Town, the landmark area of PokePark Kanto where Trainers and Pokémon from around the world gather. The town is dotted with various attractions, including the "Pokémon Trainers Market," where wagons line the streets selling merchandise and food; a "Pokémon Center," where you can watch Pokémon being restored to full health by a recovery machine; a "Friendly Shop" selling original drinks for Trainers; and the "Kayatsuri Gym," which hosts shows performed by Pokémon.
Additionally, at the "Pokémon Meet & Greet House," guests can enjoy meeting different Pokémon that appear each day. The Primarina Fountain at the town's entrance also serves as a perfect photo spot.
Kayatsuri Town also features two main attractions. Guests can enjoy "Pika Pika Paradise," a ride powered by over 30 Electric-type Pokémon, and "Vui Vui Voyage," a carousel that takes you on a journey around the world with Eevee and its evolutions.
Furthermore, the "Pika-Vui Bubble Carnival," a parade where Pikachu and Eevee march through Kayatsuri Town, will be held twice daily.
About PokePark Kanto
PokePark Kanto is Pokémon's first-ever permanent outdoor facility, located within the Yomiuriland amusement park. Situated in the Tama Hills of the Kanto region, this brand-new, 2.6-hectare area was developed by extensively renovating existing facilities and developing previously unused land. The park is operated by PokePark Kanto LLC, a joint venture between The Pokémon Company, Yomiuri Land Co., Ltd., and The Yomiuri Shimbun.
The park consists of three main areas: the "PokePark Entrance Plaza," "Kayatsuri Town," and "Pokémon Forest." It features a sprawling forest and town where over 600 different Pokémon live, offering exclusive attractions, shows, parades, merchandise, and food. Guests can become "Pokémon Trainers" and enjoy encounters and adventures with their favorite Pokémon.
Three types of tickets are available, all of which also grant admission to the main Yomiuriland park. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis or through a lottery system, with sales opening sequentially on the official website.
