On February 5, "PokéPark KANTO" (4015-1 Yanokuchi, Inagi-shi, Tokyo, within Yomiuriland amusement park), a new Pokémon-themed facility, will open its doors. Ahead of the grand opening, the park's interior was unveiled to the media for the first time.

"Pika Pika Sparks!," held at the Kayatsuri Gym in Kayatsuri Town, is a show program where guests can enjoy dances by Pikachu and performers, enhanced by spectacular lighting and music.

Following a pre-show by a DJ, a Pikachu wearing sunglasses and a group of performers take the stage, energizing the crowd with hand claps. Soon after, another Pikachu emerges from a forest set and puts on a short skit with a Pokémon Trainer.

As the scene changes, more Pikachu appear one after another: a Pikachu with a mischievous look, dressed in a "bad boy" style with a black knit cap and tracksuit; a female Pikachu dressed up like a pop idol in a pink one-piece dress and ribbon; and a smiling Pikachu in a sparkling, aurora-colored jacket. In their respective solo segments, they each perform dances that perfectly match their unique costumes.

In the latter half of the show, a certain challenge awaits the Pikachu! You'll have to visit in person to see what happens next. Be sure to pay close attention to the different expressions and cries of the Pikachu as they fully embrace their on-stage roles.

The show is held four times a day at 11:50 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:35 PM, and 4:45 PM, with each performance lasting approximately 30 minutes. Seating is divided into four areas: seats reserved exclusively for Elite Trainer Pass holders, and the Pikachu Area, Eevee Area, and designated seats, which are assigned via a numbered lottery ticket. Show schedules and times are subject to change.

The Elite Trainer Pass allows you to watch the show once from a reserved seat. For the Trainer's Pass and the Town Pass (scheduled for release around summer 2026), you must enter a lottery for a numbered ticket (to reserve a seat for a specific time) through the official app after entering Yomiuriland. Only those who win the lottery will be able to view the show.
