Revamped "Tokyo City Pass" Offers 5,550 Yen Worth of Subway Travel, Sightseeing, and Dining for Only 1,900 Yen

Release Date: September 4, 2026
The "Tokyo City Pass," a value-packed ticket for sightseeing in Tokyo, has been renewed.

Tokyo Metro and Linktivity Inc. have announced the renewal of the "Tokyo City Pass," a tourist ticket aimed at inbound travelers. The revamped pass will go on sale starting at 11:00 AM on September 4.

The pass has been redesigned from its previous all-in-one package format, which combined transportation, sightseeing, activities, and dining. The new version features a purchasable "Base Pass," to which users can add "Optional Spots" for desired attractions as needed. The pass is also available for travelers residing in Japan.

The Base Pass includes three core services: a 24-hour "Tokyo Subway Ticket" (worth 1,000 yen) for unlimited rides on all Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines; the "Tokyo Yokubari Experience" (a total value of 3,550 yen) offering unique Japanese and Tokyo-specific cultural, historical, and culinary experiences at six facilities; and a "Tokyo Gourmet Coupon" (worth 1,000 yen) usable at select restaurants in the city.

For a limited time to celebrate the renewal (end date to be determined), special promotional prices will be offered. The one-day pass will be 1,900 yen (regularly 2,400 yen), the two-day pass 2,700 yen (regularly 3,200 yen), and the three-day pass 3,700 yen (regularly 4,200 yen). This means you can enjoy services worth a total of 5,550 yen for as little as 1,900 yen with a one-day pass.

Travelers can customize their own itinerary by adding their choice of optional spots to the Base Pass. Some optional facilities offer additional discounts, making admission cheaper than purchasing tickets on-site. Furthermore, buying in advance helps you avoid waiting in ticket lines or dealing with sold-out situations.

The pass can be purchased through the official Tokyo City Pass website, as well as via Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) such as Klook and KKday.

Enjoy 5,550 yen worth of services for just 1,900 yen a day, including unlimited subway rides, experiences at six facilities, and gourmet coupons for sushi and sukiyaki restaurants.
Some of the customizable Optional Spots are available at a better price than purchasing tickets directly.
