APA Hotel to Launch Online Payment for Yu-Pack Parcel Service, Starting at Two Hotels with a 180 Yen Discount

Service begins January 27, 2026
APA Hotel adds online payment functionality to its 'Yu-Pack Label Printing Service.'

APA Hotel has announced that starting January 27, it will introduce a new online payment feature to the "Yu-Pack Label Printing Service" offered by Japan Post for travelers.

The service will initially be introduced at two locations, APA Hotel & Resort Roppongieki-higashi and APA Hotel Sapporo-oodooriekimae-nishi, with plans for a gradual expansion to other hotels in the future.

This service allows hotel guests to enter their shipping details via their own smartphones and then print the shipping labels from a dedicated printer at the hotel. While the service previously only supported multilingual label printing, it has now been upgraded to include online payment (credit and debit cards).

This upgrade eliminates the need for hotel staff to measure luggage dimensions or process payments at the counter, significantly streamlining the entire procedure. The hotel anticipates this will ease front desk congestion and reduce the administrative workload for its staff, particularly in response to the increasing number of international tourists.

Furthermore, a special benefit is being offered: guests who use the online payment option will receive a 180 yen discount on the basic Yu-Pack shipping fee per parcel. (This offer cannot be combined with other promotions, such as the carry-in discount.)

To use the service, guests scan a QR code in the hotel to access a dedicated website. They then register their information and complete the payment, which generates a new QR code. By scanning this new QR code at the dedicated printer, the shipping label is printed. Finally, guests simply need to bring their luggage with the attached label to the front desk to complete the process.
