JAWS 50th Anniversary Event Kicks Off at USJ, Unveiling a New Themed Menu

A firsthand taste of the new menu at Amity Landing Restaurant

Universal Studios Japan is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic film "JAWS" release in Japan with a special event, the "JAWS Celebration," running from November 19, 2025, to January 4, 2026.

Overlooking "Amity Village"—the area themed after the idyllic American fishing village from the film—the Amity Landing Restaurant has completely revamped its menu as of November 18. Inside the shipyard-themed eatery, guests can enjoy four types of burritos served in special commemorative packaging. Each set comes with French fries and a drink.

We had the chance to try the "Chili Con Carne & Beans Burrito Set." The tortilla has a pleasant chewy texture, and it's generously filled with a medley of ingredients, including spicy beans, rice, cheese, and shredded carrots and cabbage. It's a truly satisfying meal, perfect for refueling after the heart-pounding excitement of the JAWS attraction.

Throughout the event period, the imposing Hanging Shark, the iconic symbol of the "Amity Village" JAWS area and a guest favorite since USJ's opening, will be decorated with a limited-edition 50th-anniversary Christmas wreath.

Furthermore, guests can take advantage of "JAWS Photo," a commemorative photo service featuring a special design template. The thrilling boat tour attraction will also feature a special celebratory announcement, adding a unique twist to the terrifying encounter with the man-eating shark.

Visitors to the "Amity Village" area will also receive limited-edition stickers. The celebration coincides with USJ's winter event, "Universal Christmas Joy," allowing guests to immerse themselves in a doubly festive atmosphere.
