Reservations Open for Mt. Fuji's Yoshida Trail. Season Starts July 1 with a 4,000 Yen Climbing Fee.

Reservations Opened: April 27, 2026
Reservations are now open for climbing Mt. Fuji's Yoshida Trail. The climbing season runs from July 1 to September 10.

On April 27, Yamanashi Prefecture launched the reservation system for the Yoshida Trail on the "Official Website for Mt. Fuji Climbing."

To ensure climber safety and preserve the mountain's environment, a new rule requires advance reservations for trail access (this rule also applies to the three trails on the Shizuoka Prefecture side). The reservation system for the 2026 season includes several key features: a checklist for required climbing gear and a pledge to follow safety rules, a real-time availability display (using symbols: ○ for available, △ for few spots left, × for full), and the ability to modify or cancel reservations. Additionally, to help prevent climbers from getting lost, a new feature has been introduced that displays images of key trail junctions during the booking process.

The daily limit for climbers is 4,000 people, excluding those with reservations to stay in a mountain hut. The climbing fee is 4,000 yen per person per ascent, payable by credit card or PayPay when booking.

The Mt. Fuji Yoshida Trail is scheduled to open on July 1.
