Jujutsu Kaisen Returns to USJ After 3 Years! A First-Hand Look at the New "The Real 4-D" and Its Intense Cursed Battles

Universal Cool Japan, USJ's celebration of iconic Japanese entertainment, is back. Here's a look at the highly anticipated new attraction from "Jujutsu Kaisen."

Universal Studios Japan will kick off "Universal Cool Japan 2026," an event that brings together Japan's iconic entertainment brands, on January 30.

Now in its 11th year, the event marks the triumphant return of the "Jujutsu Kaisen" attraction! In a collaboration celebrating the third season of the "Jujutsu Kaisen" TV anime, which began airing this January, the ultra-immersive theater show "Jujutsu Kaisen: The Real 4-D - The Revolving Clock Tower" will open for a limited time.

Jujutsu Kaisen: The Real 4-D is a theater-show attraction where guests can experience the Cursed Technique battles of "Jujutsu Kaisen" firsthand through stunning 3D visuals, dynamic sound and lighting, and special effects like wind blasts, vibrations, and water splashes. Following a highly acclaimed debut collaboration in 2022, this much-anticipated second installment is finally here. It features a completely new and original story based on the world of the "Jujutsu Kaisen" anime, including an original character exclusive to the park.

In this new story, guests take on the role of a rookie Assistant Manager, supporting the Jujutsu Sorcerers on a mission alongside the first-year students of Tokyo Jujutsu High.

In this story, guests take on the role of a rookie Assistant Manager, tasked with supporting the Jujutsu Sorcerers. The mission begins as you join Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki to investigate a "decrepit Western-style mansion" where a series of mysterious disappearances has occurred.

Inside the mansion, filled with an eerie, swirling presence, a fierce battle suddenly erupts. Each time the Jujutsu Sorcerers unleash their Cursed Techniques, you'll feel an immersive sensation as if Cursed Energy is spreading through the room. Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto also appear as they were in their Jujutsu High days, joining the fray. The voices of the characters, sounding as if they are right beside you, and the combat unfolding before your very eyes will instantly pull you into the world of "Jujutsu Kaisen."

The attraction is located at the Cinema 4-D Theater in the Hollywood Area. The total experience, including the pre-show, lasts approximately 20 minutes. For daily showtimes, please check the "Show & Attraction Schedule" on the official website or app.

Also making its return this season after a three-year hiatus is the thrilling roller coaster attraction "Jujutsu Kaisen × Story Ride" (on Hollywood Dream - The Ride), which will also be open for a limited time. It will feature two completely different stories, with Part 1 running from January 30 to May 10, and Part 2 from May 11 to August 18.

In Part 1, guests will board the same vehicle as Itadori, Fushiguro, and Kugisaki for an exhilarating coaster experience, racing through an intense battle against Cursed Spirits that you can feel with your entire body. Details about Part 2 will be announced at a later date. Stay tuned!
