- Running from November 19, 2025, to May 17, 2026
As part of Universal Cool Japan 2025, Universal Studios Japan will host "Monster Hunter Wilds ~ Morivers' Banquet ~" from November 19, 2025, to May 17, 2026.
This marks the first-ever collaboration restaurant celebrating the world of "Monster Hunter Wilds," the latest installment in the popular "Monster Hunter" hunting action game series. We were invited to a special preview before its grand opening, and here’s a look inside.
The venue is the Lost World Restaurant, located in the Jurassic Park area of the park. Here, guests take on the role of hunters traveling through a vast world. You can gather around a campfire in the hideout with the lively beastman tribe, the "Morivers," and your trusty "Palico" companion. Immerse yourself in a "hunter's respite" as you savor the signature campfire cuisine made famous by the games.
The signature menu item is the "Monster Hunter Wilds x USJ Exclusive Coaster Set" (3,500 yen). Pile the Seikret-style meat and a gooey, Kunafa cheese-inspired topping onto focaccia bread for a hearty meal. The set also includes one of six original coasters, selected at random.
Other options include two "Campfire Cuisine" dishes (2,800 yen each): "Pork, Wild Herbs, and Shirudo Garlic" and "Chicken, Gochisodake Mushroom, and Monster Chili." Replenish your strength with fragrant roasted pork belly or a flavorful butter chicken curry.
Additionally, the menu features the "'Support Corps Palico Kids' Set" (1,400 yen) for children up to age 6, the "'Palico's Chocolate Pudding with Souvenir Mug'" (1,600 yen), the "'Rabara Barina Sour Cherry & White Mousse'" (1,000 yen), and the "'Mega Potion: Kiwi, Shiso, Honey, & Soda'" drink (800 yen).
Please note that each guest is required to order at least one food item from the main menu; the restaurant cannot be used for only desserts or drinks.
Our reporter had the chance to sample the "Monster Hunter Wilds x USJ Exclusive Coaster Set" and the "Mega Potion: Kiwi, Shiso, Honey, & Soda" ahead of the opening.
The highlight of the Wilds Plate is its variety. You can mix and match hearty main components like roast beef, pork, and fried shrimp with sides such as hash browns, focaccia, and cheese sauce, allowing you to enjoy different flavor combinations until the very last bite.
The soda strikes a perfect balance between kiwi and shiso (a Japanese herb). It has a unique, intriguing flavor reminiscent of an energy drink, but it's not sour. And don't worry—despite its vibrant color, it won't stain your mouth green!
