Huis Ten Bosch (1-1 Huis Ten Bosch-machi, Sasebo, Nagasaki) has announced the opening of a new attraction, "Evangelion: The Ride - 8K -", scheduled for spring 2026.

This flying theater attraction will immerse guests in the world of the "Evangelion" series, which marks the 30th anniversary of its original TV broadcast this October and continues to captivate fans worldwide. Guests will witness Evangelion Unit-01 lift off against the stunning backdrop of Huis Ten Bosch's European townscape in a completely original story set within the theme park.

This will reportedly be the first flying theater attraction in Japan to combine three key elements: a massive, high-definition 8K LED dome screen; stunning 8K footage boasting approximately 19 times the resolution of Full HD; and state-of-the-art ride motion technology.

The immense screen will fill guests' 180-degree field of view with 8K visuals, bringing every detail to life—from particles of light and the impact of explosions to the realistic texture of the Eva units. In addition, the ride's motion system will simulate steep dives, a sense of floating, and powerful vibrations, allowing guests to physically experience the overwhelming immersion of being in the world of Evangelion.

In addition to the attraction itself, exclusive merchandise and limited-time menu items are also planned. This new attraction is the third phase of Huis Ten Bosch's growth strategy, following the opening of the new "Miffy Wonder Square" area on June 21 and the "Air Cruise: The Ride" attraction opening in September.
