- Launching October 20, 2025
The renowned Kyoto confectioner Shichijo Kanshundo is set to launch a new lineup of "Pokémon Kyogashi" (Kyoto-style sweets) for year-round sale. The products will be available on their official online store starting October 20, with in-store sales beginning on October 25. (Online orders will begin shipping on October 25.)
Previously, the "Pokémon Kyogashi" collection was released seasonally, but now these popular items will be available for purchase throughout the year. All products are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and the store will not accept reservations or holds.
The **"Pokémon Jo-namagashi"** is a set of four high-grade fresh sweets featuring Pikachu, Ho-Oh, Shiftry, and Clodsire. Clodsire is crafted as a *jōyo manjū* (a steamed bun made with yam paste), while the others are represented as *nerikiri* (a delicate sweet made from white bean paste). The set is priced at 2,916 yen. Orders from the online shop will be delivered frozen. A room-temperature, fresh version of the sweets will be sold exclusively at the main store (551 Nishinomon-cho, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto) only on the 7th of each month.
The **"Pokémon Fu-yaki"** is a set of three light, crisp gluten cakes decorated with Pokémon set against Kyoto landscapes and traditional Japanese patterns. This set is priced at 1,728 yen. In addition to the online store, it will be available at the Main Store, as well as the Kitasenju Marui, JR Kyoto Isetan, and Fushimi Otesuji branches.
The **"Pokémon Higashi"** features dry sweets made from premium *wasanbon* sugar, molded into the shapes of Pikachu and a *unkin-moyō* pattern (a classic design combining cherry blossoms and autumn maples). It is priced at 2,160 yen and is also available for purchase online and at the four aforementioned store locations.
