Richmond Hotel Asakusa to close for renovations, with a grand reopening scheduled for December.

RNT Hotels Co., Ltd., a member of the Royal Group, has announced the temporary closure of its Richmond Hotel Asakusa (2-7-10 Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo) starting September 1 for extensive renovations.

The renovation is designed to meet the growing leisure travel demand by adding new rooms, including options for group stays, to the existing 140 rooms. The hotel will be completely transformed with a "Japandi" style, a popular design trend that fuses Japanese aesthetics with Scandinavian functionality. The grand reopening is scheduled for December 1, and reservations for a selection of rooms are already being accepted. Bookings for the remaining rooms will open as soon as they are ready.

Please note that the adjacent Richmond Hotel Premier Asakusa will remain open and operate as usual during this period.
